3097 Research Report: Dispersion modelling and calculations in support of EI Model Code of Safe Practice Part 15: Area classification code for installations handling flammable fluids

The 4th edition of EI 15 includes Fluid Category G(ii). This is representative of refinery grade hydrogen, which has a hydrogen content of 80 % (molar). Due to the transition towards the use of hydrogen as a fuel source, it was deemed appropriate to include an additional fluid stream consisting of 100 % hydrogen in this third edition. This has been modelled in both liquid and gaseous states. Furthermore, the release scenarios of the fluids have been modelled to include pressures up to 150 bara (Fluid Categories A, B and C) and 300 bara (Fluid Category G(i)), as also reported in EI 3015 EI Model code of safe practice Part 15: Area classification for installations handling flammable fluids.
