This short study examines the risks of structural failure during the decommissioning of offshore oil and gas installations and specifically the threats to life safety. The study was administered by the Royal Academy of Engineering and funded by the Lloyds Register Foundation under the auspices of Engineering X and its Safer End of Engineered Life programme.
