Overview:

Increasingly women work while they are pregnant and many resume work whilst breast feeding. There are some workplace hazards which may affect the health and safety of the mothers and children both before and after birth.

The European Union Directive addresses the protection of the health and safety of pregnant workers and children both before and after birth, and this publication looks at the implementation of the Directive.
